Choose a shade fabric with a higher opacity to let in more light, or choose the LightLock™ system from Hunter Douglas for true room-darkening capabilities. This system has a patent-pending design which is optimized to absorb or deflect nearly all incoming light. And try Duette® Architella® blinds, which offer a honeycomb-within-a-honeycomb design for more insulation at your window!
The unique honeycomb design also improves the acoustics in your room. The trapped layer that provides insulation has the added benefit of providing sound absorption. The Duette® shades absorb up to 70% of the sound energy in your space.
Operating Systems

- LiteRise®: this simple system eliminates cords and allows you to operate your shades by pushing up or pulling down on them with your hand.
- UltraGlide®: this retractable system has cords that remain at a constant length so that there are no long, dangling cords that present a hazard to children and pets.
- EasyRise™: this system utilizes a continuous cord loop for hassle-free operation of your blinds. this is perfect for operating larger shades.
- Vertiglide™: this operating system for vertical shades is ideal for side-to-side opening and sliding glass doors.
- Duolite®: this option allows for an additional liner to be hung behind your shades that operates independently in order to provide additional room-darkening capabilities when you want it, and a more opaque shade when you don’t.
- TrackGlide™: this system is made especially for European style windows that tilt from the top and/or swing open like a door.
- SkyLift™: this system is made for skylights and other hard to reach windows. Operate your shades with a hand crank, telescoping pole, or a motorized option.
